Alphabet Series Pattern - N

Alphabet Series Patterns

This post is bought to you by the Letter N.

I have made another card using the letter 'N' from my 3 Flower Alphabet in my book "Creative Doodling with Judy A 2 Z".

I decorated the letter N with a letter N pattern which I will show the instructions for below. I used Kaszazz Card Paper for the white card, the pink and the black decoration.  Kaisercraft decorate paper  in pink was used also. I used Sakura Pigma Microns to do the drawing and Kaszazz Alcohol Markers to colour.
I left a space beside the N to add the rest of the name when I am ready to use the card.

To make the card cut White card paper  15 x 21 cm/5 7/8" x 8 3/8" and fold in half to form the card.

A.  Pink decorative paper 15 x 10.5 cm/5 7/8" x 4 1/8" is glued to the front of the White card..

B.  Black Card 15 x 6.7 cm/5 7/8" x 2 5/8" is glued on top of the Pink Decorative Paper leaving an even space top and bottom.

C. Pink Card 15 x 4 cm/5 7/8" x 1 5/8" is glued on top of the Black Card leaving and even distance top and bottom.

I placed mounting tape under the letter N and glued it to the left side of the Pink Card leaving an even distance top and bottom.

Mandalas

Mandalas

The meaning of mandala comes from Sanskrit meaning "circle." Even though it may be dominated by squares or triangles, a mandala has a concentric structure. Mandalas offer balancing visual elements, symbolizing unity and harmony.

Some people draw them digitally as they want exact precision. Other people use composes, rulers etc. to get that precision by hand. The first Mandala I drew used no equipment whatsoever and I was very surprised at the outcome. It is pictured below.
The Mandala at the top of the page I drew using guide lines to get accurate portions. I used Alcholol Ink Markers to colour, and Sakura Pigma Micron Pens in sizes 01 & 05 to draw the black lines. I shaded in pencil.

The pattern I drew in the centre of the mandala is a variation of a pattern I saw on Pinterest. I followed the source and found it on www.tanglepatterns.com and it is called Yew Dee, and was designed by Peg Farmer a CZT. I just had 12 sections to Yew Dee instead of 4 to fit with the segments I had in my Mandala. All the other doodle patterns on the design are very simple and from my imagination.

If you would like to show us examples of some mandalas you have drawn please add to the Mr Linky below. We would love to see them.

Alphabet Series Pattern M

Alphabet Series Patterns

This post is bought to you by the Letter M.

I have made and other card using the letter 'M' from my 3 Flower Alphabet in my book "Creative Doodling with Judy A 2 Z".

I have used the letter M Pattern to doodle this letter. The paper I used was from Kaszazz  in the Terrace Garden Range. I also darkened the lines with a Sakura Pigma Micron after colouring.  The flowers were coloured with Kaszazz Markers. I have left the space after the M blank for now. I will add the rest of the name once I decide who will be the recipient.

To make the card cut yellow card paper  15 x 21 cm/5 7/8" x 8 3/8" and fold in half to form the card.

I cut 4 pieces of paper or card to go under the letter M.

A. Green Card 15 x 8.7 cm/5 7/8" x 3 3/8" is glued to the front of the yellow card leaving equal distance top and bottom.

B. Blue Patterned Paper 15 x 8cm/5 7/8" x 3" is glued on top of the green leaving an even space top and bottom.

C. Pink Patterned Paper 15 x 7.3cm/5 7/8" x 2 7/8" is glued on top of the Blue leaving and even distance top and bottom.

D. Black Card Paper 14 x 6.7cm/5 1/2" x 2 5/8" is glued in the centre of the Pink Paper leaving and even space all the way around.

I placed mounting tape under the letter M and glued it to the left side of the Black Card leaving an even distance top and bottom.

I used a punch to cut out the Butterfly and folded the wings up. I glued to Butterfly to the top right corner of the letter M.
