I am posting outlines that you can add doodle patterns too, and you are free to use however you wish.

I will post a new one or maybe two each week for you to use.

I have added a Mr Linky so that those who want to, can post their results. I would love to see them as I am sure others would also.

 Suggested Variations to these designs.

1. Rotating and Mirror Reversing some patterns will also give you a lot more variations. 

2. Add or subtract parts of these outlines and you have a different design to begin again.

    These look great! About terminology. As you said these would be called "strings" in the world of zentangle®. And, "patterns" would be the designs you put inside the strings. I'm too extended myself as I, too, am an artist of all sorts, but I do imagine you'll have plenty of people taking you up on this offer. Enjoy!

    Splendid, Judy. Maybe you'll have to add another page for an exhibition of doodles made from strings on this page....followed by a challenge??? I'm calling mine "ribbons" because I'm using ribbons to drop them! I also think it's a good idea to go for more complex strings. There are plenty out there for beginners! To make more space you could even shrink them to small (then two should fit on a line) here because anyone downloading or screenshooting them can enlarge them in blogspot first by clicking on them.

    Judy, copied the "Merry Christmas" you did. I'm sure I could use that in a journal page as the holiday approaches and I agree, not too early to be thinking about that. Thanks for posting, Hope you are having a great weekend.
